Me and my family have had Ozzy (cockatiel) for about 5 or 6 years..I was wondering how much longer will he live? What is their life span? Will he live a lot longer? I hope so! He's a spoiled birdie! Answers will be greatly appreciated!

  1. The average age range for a cockatiel is somewhere between 10-15 and 15-20 years, depending on your source. Either way you can expect to have him around for 5 more years at least. :)

  2. they can live anywhere from 10 to 25 years depending their diet and exercise  goodluck and check out   http://www.parrotcentral.net/cockatiels.... for good info on cockatiels

  3. I have a male Cockatiel who just turned 18 and he has more energy than some of my younger 'tiels!  I have 19 Cockatiels ranging in age from 18 years to 3 weeks and if you didn't know which was the oldest you wouldn't be able to tell otherwise because he's so healthy.

It all depends on how well they are taken care of (diet, exercise, environment), but the average is between 15-25 years.

  4. Tiels have been known to live as long as 30 years, with good health care.

*coughcough* Wouldn't that have been a good thing to research before getting your birdie?

  5. With proper care they can live 15-20 years. The record is 35 years.

  6. 20-25 years if their lucky. sometimes only 10-15 years.
