What is the lifespan of a rose?

Question

Whenever my husband buys me roses they don't last very long at all. I add the food and cut the stems of them diagonally. What else should I do? Am I doing something wrong? How long are they supposed to last?

(They dont last long enough for the price they are! lol...)

2 days if u keep dem in water!!

mine last about 2 weeks give or take

i change the water every 2nd day and keep them in a well lit window.. thats all i do and they last ..
