  1. pinnerello prince is really nice and really expensive.

  2. Well people make some crazy light bikes.

I've just gotta say that you can get a pretty nice bike for a decent price, and from there, it becomes progressively more expensive the lighter stuff gets.

  3. How much do you want to Spend?

Günter Mai spent up big and bought (then modified) this bike.

Weighs in at 3195-gram (7.04 lbs)

Word is that he has clocked over 13 000 kms on it this year.

Litespeed"s Ghisallo is the lightest mass produced frame according to weight weenies. You can build this bike with whatever components you like. So this is probably the lightest way to go without custom made parts. (Expect to pay above $8000 depending on components) (Titanium by the way)

Edit***** You will note that most of the sub 11 lb bikes on this link are built on Litespeed Ghisallo frames.

Just remember that if you want to take part in a U.C.I race the minimum bike weight you are allowed to compete on is 6.8 kg (15 lb). ( Every decent brand can supply a bike this weight)

  4. In general there are well over a dozen bikes in the 14-15lb range you can buy as a standard product without heavy mods.

Felt F1, Scott Cr1, Litespeed Ghisallo and many others like top of the line Speciallized, Cannondales, Treks...

  5. anything 100% carbon fiber.
