  1. Very low. Impacts on that scale usually only happen once every few million years or so. The chances of this happening in the future are further reduced by one, our extensive knowledge of the orbits of most NEOs (Near Earth Objects), and two, our rapidly advancing technology that may soon be up to the task of deflecting a threatening object before it could hit the Earth. To put it into perspective, you are about as likely to die from a meteor impact as by being struck by lightning while being eaten by a shark at the same time.

  2. there was a chance of a metoerite or a comet or something hitting the earth around 2027 or something like that but then they recalculated and it is going to miss earth

  3. pretty small, as you can only hope for unknown comets. All known comets until 2028 are missing Earth comfortably, later there is a very small chance for a asteroid impact, but that would require it to use the full range of potential errors in the next 30 years - if the measurements are really correct, it will miss, but fly close enough for allowing humans to place spacecraft on it or even land a man on it.

  4. to jcpnum4g... :

if they have the same odds of global warming beeing real, then we might as well be doomed. stupid!! wahahaha

where have you been these past few years? living under a rock, no doubt

  5. I assume you're talking about objects big enough to be dangerous.  Very small but not zero.

Here's a graph to show you how common various sized impacts are - http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/ast...

And don't believe that junk about Planet X or Nibiru.

  6. Okay well it's not to likely. Recently Saturn and Neptune have been being pulled away from earth and they said that there might be a huge planet just outside the Solar System, the real name is Nibiru. Basically the Mayan Calender (ancient calender) ended on exactly 12/12/12. Go to Youtube and look up Planet X, it's going to go by so close to earth that earth will  stop it's rotation then rotate backwards causing Natural Disasters destroying all life on Earth. I would tell you all about it, but it's a lot to type. Look up Planet X!

  7. I would say it’s the same odds as man-made global warming being real. .000000000000000000000000000000000000001...

    edit:Robert,

Your just afraid that if people wake up to reality, then the government will take away all your toys, because global warming will not be profitable any more.
