  1. A pessimist looks at a glass and says that it is half empty,

    An optimist looks at a glass and says its half full

    they're saying the the the pessimist isnt looking on the bright side.

    but if you want to impress people with your knowledge then...

    the so-called 'optimist' must have been expecting the glass to be empty in the first place, therefore he is truely the pessimist and

    the so-called 'pessimist' must have been expecting the glass to be full in the first place, therefore he is truely the optimist.

  2. when you look at a glass filled half with water there are two ways of seeing it:

    1.to see the glass as half full

    2.to see the glass as half empty

    if you feel the glass is half full then you're an optimist who looks at the bright side of things and if you feel the glass is half empty then you're a pessimist who doesn't look at the bright side of things...

    basically people who see the glass half full are the opposite of people who are pessimists.
