  1. South Asia is India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan and British Indian Ocean Terr.  The U.N.  includes Iran and Afghanistan as well, however, in the past these latter two were not part of South Asia

    Endangered animals include several species but not necessarily all noted here. . .

    Asian elephants, jackal, wolf, lion, several varieties of monkeys, types of deer, tigers, Phaethon and cobra, vultures and some eagles, wild yaks, wild asses, and a variety of mountain goat, snow leopards and YETI of course
