  1. Cuz women are property, and are never deemed old enough to do anything ever. Plus there's a double standard regarding male & female sexuality. No one seems to care much if a Saudi guys runs off, and fools around with girls (and, yes they so totally do when they go abroad), they're too busy preserving their daughters' so-called "virginity".

  2. This logic makes sense within the context of this culture, religion and people.

When I was at the US, I learned that in some states it is allowed for girls to dance in "nude" bars at the age of 18. Yet, they are considered immature to have a drink, or dance at some regular night clubs.

That was very weired to me to hear, and a legal way of abusing girls who are in need of money.

We might disagree a lot on these laws. However, no one would disagree on killing people is a very harsh thing. US has been killing (directly or indirectly) 100,000s of peoples if not millions in the last century.

I consider US immersed in its people, the culture of war.

One country did bad, bomb them.

We disagree on a country, send missles.

We don't like one president, send B-52

Also, I consider your thinking is extremist, close minded and radical in my personal opinion, not mentioning the great level of IQ : )

For me, being close minded, is not willing to accept the other point of view, no matter how religion or un-religious you are.

You been posting again and again and again one point of view (typical media stereotyping ones) and people stopped taking your answers seriously, including me.

  3. it has to do not with religion put custom, for thousands of years men have been controlling everything- women were just breeders of pleasure toys. But now as we in the us have the right of men and women being treated equally, other countries don't. Hence they do not want to change. For example my friend is Muslim now, she wanted to go on her hajj but the Saudi Arabian government said she could not go because her last name was not Muslim! And if she were to go she needs a letter from a MALE relative! Honestly that disgusting that women are like forth class citizens! Not having no right !

  4. ask any good moral christian father of a teen aged daughter in USA if he would love a law like this.....

This is basically to protect the girls from the vises of moral corruption, rape, crime, being taken advantage of, etc...

edit:.. anyways.. majority of you who posted are males... I being female have no problem with this.. besides.. it took all of 5 minutes for my husband to run into the office there and get me a paper so now I can go where I want as I please... and I do... I travel to USA with my children or sometimes without on my own... No big deal....

  5. hmmm.......respect and to inform your whereabouts aside from discouraging women to leave the country without their husband or family......

  6. Well yeah sure, teenagers are okay to be following this rule. But it's not an excuse for it to go on with woman from the cradle to the grave. 40 year old woman can travel without the permission from her Guardian (husband/brother....etc). How insulting is that?? You want to travel and they ask you to provide paperwork that has an approval from your Guardian (who, in some cases, is your brother who's 15 years younger than you).

ther is no logic but under 18 ofcource

  7. I wish they set us, men ,free from this law,so ladies can travel wherever thy wish and learn something good in other cultures ,,

  8. Mintee has a very good suggestion and if they asked ANY GOOD MORAL CHRISTIAN FATHER, they will know the answer and will not raise these types of questions any further.

"ask any good moral christian father of a teen aged daughter in USA if he would love a law like this.....

This is basically to protect the girls from the vises of moral corruption, rape, crime, being taken advantage of, etc..."

  9. why everyone is radical to you ?

  10. Legitimate question but you must understand that the laws of the Kingdom are governed by Sharia and as such requires men to be responsible for their families and accountable. It is not looked upon as oppression like the west sees it. Men are obligated by GOD to provide and to maintain the honor of their  family. Unfortunately what you read or see in the news are imbeciles in Saudi who use the laws to their own shallow minded ways. Rather you like it or not, Saudi men are generally law abiding good hearted people.

Extremists will always support their own views and country just like neocons who think GWB is the greatest thing since fried chicken.  The point here however is that 50% of voters supported a lunitic dictator like dubya. Do I lump all Americans in the same basket? no and I would respectfully as you not to do the same with us.

    Have a nice day :)

  11. none. saudi arabians are racists odvously

  12. OK..... Let's see...... You're call other people extremist and your ID is BUSH=warcriminal?  Hypocrite

  13. idk but i think it's because the male is stronger and always incharge so the woman takes permission and if she doesn't there's gonna be a big fight that could end up with them divorced this problem is so common in saudi arabia but my mum doesn't take permission from my dad but she always tells him where she's going

  14. women couldn't get contraceptive pills in japan a little while back. strange how women are more oppressed in some countries yet they are more advanced

  15. To ensure male dominance and oppression of women, which is mandated by the backward culture of extremist Muslims

  16. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misogynist

none that i can see except its a control thing

  17. Logic??? In this town??? LOOOL XD

    Excuse me while I life....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

But seriously though, it's just pure retardation. They kind of underestimate women. So her husband (if she was married), her brother (if her father was dead and she was still single), or her father (if she still wasn't married yet) is sort of considered as her guardian. It's something that is known in Islam but Islam doesn't say that clearly that she can't do almost EVERYTHING without her husband. Just in handling BIG issues, she consults her so-called Guardian. That's the Islam version. The Saudi version is totally f**ked up so I won't even bother mentioning it.

BTW Even males can't travel without their father's permission until they turn 18 or get an ID Citezin Card (which you can't get until you're 17).

    Hope I was a help! :D

    Peace..

    EDIT** To  Mintee:
