  1. If it's not your impeller. Do you have your motor sitting too high on the transom or trimmed out too far ? ( therefore not picking up enough water )


  2. a long beep means it is running hot. a short fastest beep means low oil.

  3. db's right...check your impellor.

    Your engine is gettin too toasty warm...were talking warped heads, blown gaskets, and fried electronics...all for a $20 impellor.

  4. Listen to the guys that answered before me.  I've worked on and replaced many boat engines because no one ever remembers the impeller.  Oh i've seen some doosies but anyways have your lower unit checked once a year to make sure it is circulating water efficiently.  Also check your gear lube in the lower unit and see if it is still good and full.

  5. Overheating.  Replace your impeller - you can fry some of the electronics without sufficient cooling.

  6. I may be wrong but it might indicate the oil

    reservoir is low on oil.
