  1. Crocodile - 200,000,000 years while

    salamanders - 170,000,000 years old

Crocodile is the longest living species of animal which has lived on Earth plus also surviving many major extinction events such as the extinction of dinosaurs 65 million years ago

  2. All the different kinds were created about 6,500 years ago.

A person could look at a simple lowly looking creature and assume that it was around for 500 million years, or 3.7 billion years like in the other answers, but that would be an error.

Life doesn't spontaneously generate. If it did or could it would happen more than once. This should be a falsifiable aspect of evolution but evolution is a faith based religion. Nothing will falsify it. Every discovery must be interpreted through its moral law.

God made everything, He even made you. Your not an animal.

  3. besides you,a troll, id say a cockroach.

  4. stromatolites.

    3 1/2 billion years.

  5. Well, the cockroach is still around. It has not changed much.

  6. e-coli and other bacterium such as blue-green algae and red algae, been around since near when life first started. Also many fungi have been around for a very long time. On another note there is a single monolithic fungi organism in the pacific northwest united states spanning 3 states that is both the largest and probably the longest-living single organism ever.

  7. "Life doesn't spontaneously generate. If it did or could it would happen more than once."

    Who says it didn't?

  8. Roaches have been here for a long time but they have also changed a good bit, they are now a lot smaller.

Probably sharks have been here the longest and the least evolved.

  9. It's hard to define species for prokaryotes, but probably some of the anaerobic archaea have been around, relatively unchanged, for 3.7 billion years.

The animal species that's been around the longest is probably Triops cancriformis, which has been around with no visible changes for more than 200 million years, which is from before most of the dinosaurs.  You can buy Triops cancriformis "eggs" on ebay, hatch 'em, and have a nice pet.  They are not extinct yet, but there's a possibility of extinction as people build roads on their habitat.
