What is the longest distance that has been travled by MagLev trains in the United States?

The above poster is correct. Maglev hasn't been built in the US yet but there are some proposals to do short distance lines. I think high speed rail like what is being talked about in California is the most likely to occur.

I am unaware of any uses of Maglev in the U.S. to date although there have been several proposals around the country over the years to build short stretches of the service (I believe China has the only operable Maglev service at present).  The cost of this mode of transportation coupled with the R&D still needed has limited its use to date.
