The record is 515 yards by Mike Austin in 1974. It's actually quite a cool story, considering he was 64 years old at the time and hit a balata ball with a persimmon driver. No joke. There are several references, one of which is linked below.

The runner-up is Davis Love III, who poked one 476 yards at the 2004 Mercedes-Benz Championship. The host course, Kapalua, is prone to giving up long drives, particularly on its 18th hole.
