  1. pneumonoultramicroscopisilicovovocanocon...

  2. The longest word listed in a dictionary (as far as I know) is

pneumonoultramicroscopi csilicovolcanoconiosis (45 letters long, appears in the Oxford Concise English Dictionary), but like that protein name, it is a medical term and probably doesn't count. It's also one word, I had to break it up otherwise it doesn't display correctly.

  3. Poster above seems about right! lol.

  4. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  5. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

  6. antidisestablishmentarianism

  7. PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCA...

    It's a type a disease...

    Hope this helps...

    ^_^

  8. 'antidisestablishmentarianism' is generally acknowledged to be the longest word in the English language; that mile-and a half-long protein name that has been given is a brilliant answer, but I don't think such names are considered a true part of the language. Basically, if it isn't in the Oxford dictionary, then it isn't a part of the language (I'm guessing)

  9. smile because it can travel a mile!

  10. Methionylthreonylthreonyl...isoleucine

189,819 letters, Chemical name of the largest known protein
