Well I know that Bertha has been around for a long time and is the longest before August. Now whats the longest last cyclone during recorded history?

Well not tropical but in the South of England there was a massiave hurricane in 1703 that lasted over a week.

That was Hurricane/Typhoon John, which lasted 31 days in August into September in 1994.  Notice that it was a hurricane and a typhoon because it crossed the international date line from the east and thus became a typhoon.  Thereafter it recrossed the date line and was once again termed a hurricane.
