  1. A cousin..it has been almost 40 years, and she lives in the same city that I do!

  2. yea im from a broken home so we are scattered out all over the place...

i have cousins, uncles and aunts that i havent seen in like 30 some odd years...

  3. My dad and I didnt see him for 7 years and we live a few hours apart.

  4. I haven't seen my little sister in 2 years.  That doesn't seem like a long time but before that I hadn't seen her in 6 years.  She was 4 when her dad ( my ex step dad) came to pick her up for a weekend visit and never brought her back.  He kidnapped her and used an excuse saying she was being sexually abused.  But she wasn't, she really wasn't.  Long story short, he has alot of money and my mom and me were broke.  I was in the 11th grade at the time.  He had hot shot lawyers and ended up with full custody and refused to let me see her.  Well one day, I had enough.  So 6 years later I tracked them down and she was outside playing by herself and I got to talk to her.  It was the best thing ever.  She didn't even know who I was and when I told her she started crying and acted like she had seen a ghost.  I told her that I would come back and see her again, but when I came back, her dad wouldn't let me see her.  I miss her so much.  She's 12 now.  :- (

  5. One more reason having 10 children is nuts, I guess. I am one of 5, and I have have gone maybe a year and a half without seeing one of them, but we call and email regularly. We usually all get together at least once a year, but some years are difficult.

That said, I have not seen my dad in ten years, but there is a really good reason for it. He's a jerk! LOL!

  6. well, this is really a long time...I thing you should try and see them, coz you needa see your family members(at least sisters) once in an year.

The longest time I've not seen a family member is my maternal uncle, since about 4 yrs. but its less than 30 years...OMG!!

  7. It seems the farther apart you were born the farther apart you become later.

I try to see my sister once every 2 years but somehow she manages to make it every year.  I don't really like her or her family so that is plenty for me.

  8. It depends what you call family.  I haven't seen 2 out of 4 step-siblings in about 17 years.  We used to live together my entire teenage years.

The longest period I haven't seen a parent would be about 3 years.

The longest I didn't see my grandfather was about 10 years.  He lived on the opposite side of the country in a small town though.

  9. forever......

  10. 5 years...

  11. I'm 30 and haven't seen my father in 30 years.

  12. My immediate family...maybe 2 months at the most without seeing them.

I have a lot of cousins, aunts and uncles...I usually see them at least once or twice a yr.

  13. I have cousins and aunts and uncles I have never seen. I haven't seen my dad since Christmas because my parents are divorced then we got in a big fight on Easter but that is a long story. I don't think I could go a day not seeing the my mom, sister, grandma, uncle, and my rabbit (yes my rabbit is family!).

  14. I just recently saw my half sister, this summer. Before that i saw her for a few minutes like 5yrs ago and about 8yrs ago i saw but i dont remember that i was just born.

  15. 10 years, it was my grandmother, she lives in Fl and I live in NY but since she is 93 I am very glad I got to see her.
