I need a metronome to practice my violin, but most of the basic metronomes i've owned are often too quiet to hear while i'm playing. is there one that's exceptionally loud compared to the others?

  1. Short of using a software based metronome or a Dr. Beat, I have my students purchase Matrix metronomes, the M500, M600 and M800 are all great. They have a nice loud clave click that is as loud as much more expensive Sony metronomes. The M500 will do fine if you don't need chime accents on the downbeat or multiple tuning notes. It sells for about $17.00. How can you beat that?

  2. I use my keyboard because it has multiple rhythm settings as well as volume control.

  3. I use this one. I have my computer connected to my surround sound and it isn't full volume.
