What is the low income margian?

What is the maximum amount of money a person needs to make to be considered as a Low income?

I live in california, so please, if u can, give me the answer for california.

In the State of CA it goes by the county that you live in.

I found the information at www.california.gov

then on the home page in the search box type, low income medians, then it will take you to a PDF file for 2008.

When you get here, scroll down to page 4.  This is where the counties start.  It's in alphabetical order.  You also need to go by the amount of members in your household.
