I expect you will find that 7 is considered a lucky number mainly in cultures with a history of dice games, since it is the most common result of a 2-die toss.

I have sort of considered the number 57 to be a sign of illusory good luck that turns out to be mostly bad, but I don't really believe it...

There is no real lucky number though, if you want to understand how the odds work and how to figure out whether to expect a positive or negative payoff, there is no substitute for probability and math statistics.

There is no state-run lottery game that offers a positive payoff expectation over time to any player. Casinos don't do it either. Your local bingo hall might. It's possible to win at blackjack if you learn how, but the casinos will only kick you out before you can win much. You can win at poker but you've gotta be good, and more importantly, you've got to pick opponents who aren't good.

Keno is one of the games with a notoriously low payoff expectation, even though at a glance it looks like your chances of winning are pretty good, they're not...

I think 13 is considered unlucky by some Christians because it is the number of jesus + disciples, and because some consider it unlucky, others consider it lucky.

Depends on which culture your in.  In Chinese culture "8" is a lucky number.  The meaning derives life.  "4" in Chinese culture means death therefore unlucky.
