The luteal phase are the days of your cycle starting from ovulation until you start your next period.  14 day, phase is considered normal....but it can range from 10 - 14days.  So another way to state it, is the second half of your cycle/month or the week - two weeks before your period.

It's the day after ovulation to the day before your period starts.  If you take your temperature and do a bbt chart, you can figure out your Luteal Phase.  This would come in handy when you're trying to pinpoint your period.
