What is the main culture and the main thing farmed in North America?

small grains.....ie...corn, soybeans, wheat...but I dont know what you mean about the main culture....

The main things raised in North America are corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, vegetables, canola(rape seed), beef, dairy, pork, chickens and eggs.

The culture in agriculture is still the family farm, but it is becoming more industrial all the time.

Judging from the newpapers lately it seems to be mainly corn and soybeans.

It's corn - there're other big-acreage crops but nothing is quite as pervasive as corn. Unfortunately the culture of corn farming is about as unsustainable as you can get - the family farm is long dead and the system we have now is a crisis waiting to happen. Ethanol production from corn will just accelerate our problems.

I don't know what main culture means in this instance, but I just saw a tv program today that said because of ethynol tha a lot of corn is being planted/grown.

soybeans - easy to make hydrogenated oils used at Raunchy Ron's and all the rest for the fast food outlets, and most processed foods sold in Us grocery stores.
