What is the main difference between having a GED and a diploma?

i was officaily discharged from my high school ( im 17 year old) cause i dont have enough credits and i have lots of absences

i talked with my counselor and she told me that i have 3 options

1.starting"fresh" from 10th grade( i was in 11 grade this year)

2.night school

3.GED

i though about it long enough and i think that i will get my GED

but i fear that i might not be able ot find a job with just a GED some people siad that it will be a bit hard to find a good job

i want to go to Cosmetology/beauty school ( like Empire Beauty School )

ok what are your grades like and your gpa? how many credits do you suppose to have?

here are some options:

stay in high school do really good in all your classes and take some night classes.

well since you already made up your mind to get your GED go for it and get it study hard (don't wait to get it like some people)

follow your dream and go to cosmetology school.

a GED/Diploma is very important to have just like a college degree.

It is very hard to get a job with a GED just because lots of places feel like everyone should graduate high school.

However, if you are wanting to go to Cosmetology school, I'm sure you can find that will accept you. Just look into it and find out. Several schools like that and community colleges take GED students. Just do a little bit of digging. You'll be able to find something.
