  1. the essence is basic biology and we applied of technology to alter some of the nature or make it advance than always..that is biotechnology


  2. Biotechnology is nothing but Biology applied to technology to improve the quality and quantity of products like rice,milk,genes etc!

    By using the concepts in biology we apply it to technology like manufacturing of HUMULIN,Tissue Culture.

    Manufacturing of Humulin is industrial based,but the concept comes from Biology which is to take a plasmid and a gene and to incorporate one into the other to produce clones!!
