Kangaroo meat, while pretty much available in most places, is definately not the main food in Australia.  Hardly anyone eats it compared to say lamb, beef or pork.  Traditional Australian foods include meat pies with tomato sauce, lamingtons (cakes rolled in choclate icing and coconut), pavlova (meringue and fruit dessert) or Vegemite (black yeast spread delicious on toast).  Modern Australian cuisine however is heavily influenced by Asian flavours rather than traditional English ones.

Australia is a multicultural country.. So its hard to say what the main food is.. We eat everything...

Its not kangaroo like what other people have said. Its not even that popular.. And isnt sold everywhere..

Chicken, beef, lamb, fish, pork, seafood..
