I think the main idea is that we need individuality in our lives, we know that we try to do things as a group and with other people but when u take away a persons individuality then it is like a persondoesn't't have a face and blends in with everyone else, i know u turned in ur paper already but i was just going to say it anyways so HA!

It is a tribute to the ego - the value of the individual.  If you have skipped over reading it (something I did on occasion when I was in school), I would encourage you to read it quickly.  It's such a short book, you could read it all in an evening.  Or if you don't have time for that, you could skim portions of it in an hour.
