A strong character can smile in adversaries and make sure that the interests of those whom he/she loves are taken good care of atleast from his/her side. That inner strength is the main power or driving force which motivates a person to stand in good stead and prove to be a real love in the test of time.

Dear Am, I am not sure what did you ask  / say in the second line of your question but I am sure love is not about power or power games. Love starts when we are vulnerable. Love is our need and we can't use 'powers' to get our needs. That way we can end up having needs fulfilled, but love will stay at a distance and smile at us. Main power of real love is modesty, loyalty, integrity and sharing.
