  1. The Hippies want to KEEP EVERYTHNG LOOKING NATUIAL. But the dead, dieing and diseased trees need to come out to make a healthy forest.

  2. Well, I don't do it , cuz it's harder to drag them out on hills.

But I guess it's not general practice, cuz it screws up natural drainage, and can cause mudslides and erosion or whatever.

  3. The main reason we don't cut tress down on a HILL or HILLY place is because of the possible difficulty and because, most trees cut down are cut down because of building sites (and most people don't build on a hilly landscape). It can also be related to the fact that it may take down natural barriers to wind and rain. LIke said above, it can cause possible mud slides since Trees and their roots keep the ground strong.

What is the area like? Because some places just restrict cutting down trees, some times called a Green Belt.

  4. because if you cut too many trees down in a hilly place it can cause a landslide because the roots are helping to hold the hill in place. when u kill off the tree it kills off the root messing up the foundation of the hill causing it to give way.

  5. So the hillbillys can hid. Weell doggys.

  6. When we cut down trees in hilly places, the soil tends to lose its firm and cause the mud and soil to slide towards the river and pollute the river.Cutting down trees is deforestation.

  7. That depends on how you may define hill. There are many answers to this question, but the primary reason to leave trees on slopes of hills and mountains is to prevent erosion. It takes possibly thousands of years for a forest to develop through succession and it takes much longer on slopes. The forest may never return to its former glory. A forest is a complex organism from the soil layers to the tree tops containing thousands of lifeforms. We should cut trees smartly to preserve the forest.
