What is the major called where you want to protect animals?

i may want to protect animals when i grow up.i want to be like a vegetarian,\recycler who protects the earth.i want to go to georgia southern.what major would this be listed under?i couldnt find it on their majors page.

    Lol sorry I really don't know. But I'd say it's the same thing animal rescue workers study. Try emailing RSPCA (or equivalent) and asking.

  5. The field of study you're probably looking for is ecology, which is a subfield within biology.  GSU does offer a major in biology.  If you are set on GSU, that is probably your best bet.  Some other schools do have specialized majors in ecology or environmental science.  

    What you can do in the mean time is take as much math and science in school as you can.
