  1. Cups are measured as 5 ounce portions.

  2. OK no you've done it! I have to apologize to the Mrs. she makes 6 cups of coffee and we get 2! Dang it :)

  3. Get smaller cups.

  4. you need a new one.

  5. So I am not the only one. Sawman keeps telling me I am not putting enough water in. You wait until I tell him you have the same problem. So where does all the water go???

  6. Those fools don't measure cups the same as us normal hoomans.  They use those itsybitsy cups and they measure those tablespoon portions so it counts out as 12.

Our coffee cups are those restaurant mugs that I suspect would hold 3, maybe 4, of their cups.  LOL.

  7. They consider the average cup of coffee to be 5oz.

Your coffee mugs are probably 9oz or larger. The ones I have are about 15oz ....

  8. and my rug lies like a coffe maker.

    i think u need a new one.

  9. Maybe you have larger cups.  <grin>  Those coffee makers are talking about a 6 ounce cup size.  Most average sized cups hold about 12 ounces, so then you can cut down in half the amount of cups that most will actually make.  Then if you have larger cups like the ones I like to use, then it is even less, like what you said, 3 to 4 cups.  Also a little water stays behind in the coffee grounds.  I typically use a extra half cup of water when I make coffee to allow for that extra amount staying behind, soaking the grounds.

    Hope I helped

  10. i think you need a new coffeemaker
