ok i asked this question earlier but no one seems to under stand...

my fiance got arrested just recently. A few of his friends were burglarizing houses... he never broke in with them never even stepped foot on the property. But out of ignorance on few occasions he picked up his friends once or twice when they called him after they had done such crimes. One of my fiances friends were staying with us at the time and had stolen property in our house. My fiance never really took part in the crimes just being stupid and ignorant did what he thought was being a good friend and picking up his friends when they had called and needed a ride! he didnt take place in setting up or planning the crimes in any way. but the boys stole alot of stuff including jewelry, electronics, and firearms. does any one kno what is the least and maximum sentence he can get for his asociation in these ignorant crimes?

  1. If he provided transportation, he assisted in the crime, and can get the same sentence as the others.

The maximum sentence depends on state law, how many counts, and the value of the stolen property. The minimum sentence would be probation, but don't count on that.

  2. If he is charged with being an accomplice, prior criminal history will play a huge role in his sentencing.

I say his friends will get 5-10yrs in prison and be out in 18 months and on parole.

I say he will get 5-10 yrs of probation.

  3. If you are in the UK or US, get some legal advice. In the UK, and I suspect the US, his level of knowledge is important as to whether or not he was actually an accessory or just stupidly giving friends a lift not knowing what they had been up to. If he knew what they had been up to, then he was an accessory. A lot may depend on what the others have said about his involvement as well.

    I hope that helps.

    Good luck
