  1. If you live in the UK, there is no maximum age for domestic adoption. International adoption age is governed by the sending country.

  2. It varies depending on which country you are adopting from. Are you wanting to adopt from the UK? Or you live in the UK?

It is a very long process to adopt in the UK. I have begun that process. It takes quite a bit of money to adopt internationally. Each country decides what the max age is. Normally if both partners are 50 then you are able to adopt an older child but not an infant.

  3. It would depend on the rules of the particular country you were adopting from.  The UK cannot set the rules for another country

There are plenty of kids in foster care here in the UK who deserve homes.  If you are too old to adopt, then fostering would be a great option for anyone wanting to give a home to a child who needs one.

The UK has to be entirely satisfied that a foreign child cannot be found a home in his/her country of origin before it will allow the child to be amputed from his/her country of origin and heritage.

  4. Obsessed much?

ETA:  Did anyone else notice that the same person posted the same question in a different form, like 5 times?  I'm just sayin' yo.
