I am presently a student and will likely earn a reasonable income when I graduate in about 2 years. I was offered a raise at work. I am unsure whether I can afford to accept the raise as it may compromise our eligibility for government subsidies. I do not enjoy being on welfare at present but it appears the most prudent short-term path to achieve long-term financial independence. The local food stamps offices are difficult to deal with and are not equipped or willing to answer a question on a theoretical level. So, I am asking you all. Maybe, someone out there has access to actual CURRENT Food Stamps eligibility criteria.

Thank you!
