What is the maximum length a LT Junior Grade...?

I am thinking of Joining the Coast Guard and going through the academy where I would come out as a Lt. Junior Grade. My dad was in the Coast Guard and he said there was a length limit to a cutter where a Lt. Junior Grade could command and where a Captain takes over. Does anybody know what that limit is? Thank You!!

coming out of the Academy you would be an ENSIGN( O1) not a LTjg(O2).  

I do not know the ship length cutoff, but I would imagine it's fairly short.
