What is the maximum length of time dhs can pursue a case in court if they haven't taken the kids out of the home? CPS for those who don't live in Oklahoma. my sister has been having problems with them and have been complying with there requests..... but fears it will never end

  1. CPS and the courts are two entirely different entities.  The focus of CPS is to insure the safety and well being of the children and the focus of the courts is to adjudicate charges.  A CPS case can remain open indefinitely and the children do not have to be removed from the home if the DA finds sufficient cause to determine that a crime has been committed.
