  2. there is no limit, however, there is a limit that the FDIC will ensure and that is 100,000. So, typically, people won't put more than that amount into one bank.

  3. If you made $10,000 a week, that would be a salary of $520,000 a year; about ten times the modal American salary, but far from an outrageous or unrealistic goal.  About 1.5% of US households earn that much.

    Since bank accounts are only insured up to $100,00 (unless you buy additional insurance) they either invest it or spend it.

  4. There is no legal limit.  But the FDIC insures accounts only up to $100,000 (or $250,000 in the case of IRA accounts).  

    You have to keep the insurance limits in mind, because you could lose money if your account goes over the FDIC limits.
