What is the maximum resolution a composite cable can output?

I am thinking of getting an Xbox 360 but there are no more free HDMI ports on the back of the TV so I can't get 1080p. What is the next highest output I'd be able to get out of it using a different cable?

Component = 1080i.

Component Can send a 1080P. But your limited to 1080i with an Xbox 360. The Elite does have HDMI but like you said you have no more input on your TV. Try using one of these HDMI switches. They can just give you that easy connection HDMI is famous  for.
