What is the maximum size SD card a Vivitar 4345 digital camera will accept?

All the technical stuff on the net says 512MB. I put a 1GB Sandisk one in and it was fine. I'm asking because I bought a Patriot 4GB High Capacity Class 6 SD card it it won't read it, just says Card Error, my 52-in-1 card reader won't read it either. Have I just bought a faulty card, or is this a high spec card...?

You bought an SD HC card, which many cameras and card readers will not accept.  Your camera will accept any regular SD card of any size, just no SD HC cards.
