The tension range on the racquet is 52-62 lbs. There is a link on the Head.com tennis racquet web page for "Stringing Instructions" . The PDF file shows a tension range of 57-67 lbs. (http://www.head.com/__/?5611.ec4b55b5.DL)

  1. According to the 2008 Racquet Stringer's Digest the tension range is 52-62 pounds agreeing with what is printed on your racquet. The PDF file you mention is probably a typo.

Although it is fairly common to go over the recommended range by 2 or 3 pounds on tie-off strings, going over the range can damage the frame and invalidate the warranty. Most professional stringers will not go over the range because they don't want to be liable for it.

This racquet, as with most Head racquets, requires two-piece stringing. One piece of string for the mains and one for the crosses.

  2. It's 62.  But it's OK to string a few pounds higher than 62.  Lots of people go over the recommended string tension.  Don't worry :)
