What is the maximum weight for hand luggage?

I'm going on holiday to Spain on Monday, and I just wanted to know how much it's allowed to weigh?

From Gatwick to Spain.

you get to take hand luggage weighing no more than 5kgs on board the plane, remember no liquids are allowed onto the plane in these bags. Happy hols.

Depends who you fly with - usually 10kg!

It really depends what airline you are travelling with as all have their own amounts.  You'll find the information on the website of the airline you are travelling with and the dimensions that it should be.  Usually they have a box at the check in desk and if it fits within the box, you can take it.

it depends wich airline you using. easyjet says have to fit in that basket at airport they don't check the weight. other airlines is 5 kg but they don't really check them.

It is often 5 kgs or about 9 pounds. In reality, it will often not be checked. Ask your airline to be sure, sometimes it is up to 12 kgs or sometimes you are allowed 2 pieces.
