  1. From what I understand it means that the bank, or insurance company found the damages to the car to be more than the car was worth. Since they wouldn't make profit they brand the title as salvage. It doesnt mean that the car your looking at isnt any good, but remember the resale value will never be the same as a car with a clean title.

  2. its been in a accident and and its been caused by that car so stay away. so if you crash you can get it fixed if you have full coverage

  3. It means that at one time, it was damaged to the point where it would have cost more to restore the vehicle to its original condition than the car was actually worth at the time.

Salvaged cars that are reconditioned do not meet US safety standards and often have many little mechanical problems.

In addition, who knows if it was fixed correctly?  You could end up paying tons in repairs.

Stay away from salvaged cars, period.  The only way I would ever consider one is if I were flat broke, needed a car to go from A to B and it was under $1000.  It is still a risk, though, because it may not be the safest car.

  4. Been wrecked before......not street worthy before.
