What is the meaning behind the necklaces???

I've noticed that more and more players are wearing rope like necklaces. They are not the titanium ones. Is there a meaning behind them or are they just a new fad?

There phiten and there ripoffs. One of my friends got one and I told him not to get one and he said it doesnt work and threw it out. Dont get one. The company pays alot of money to the players. There supposed to "heal" you.
