I have looked around for an answer but have come up with nothing. Is it a wrist exercise? A brazilian thing? Alien code? If anyone knows for sure please let me know.

  1. It's obviously a little warm-up before the fight. Just like how some fighters hops a bit, does a little shadow box, or leans back on the rope to crack their back and stretch it out. It's just his own thing that he does before fighting.

  2. Its a trained behavior to start an adrenaline surge. Swimmers also do it by stretching their wrists.

The basic idea is to do it before every race/fight/event etc. to help the brain associate the stretch with the adrenaline rush of the novice athlete. As time goes by and the athlete becomes more calm, they can summon up an adrenaline surge and get all the benefits.

  3. there warming up there wrist for war.
