  1. I think his song talks about generations past not pointing fingers at the generations that come after and to lend a helping hand instead of judging. He made it during the 60's, so I think that's the times that he was talking about.  You have older generations where some people are more narrow-minded and possibly into big-band era type music and then you have the hippies etc. Just many different generations and mindsets.
