dosha -a sanskrit language word meaning  un favourable,flaw,not good,cancause danger etc..in astrology malefic planets ie saturn.rahu.mars etc, occupying certain houses spoils the good affects of the horoscope and the native suffers..these are called graha dosha in general.by associating the dosha to a particular planet they are called sani dosha,kuja(mars=mangal) dosha,kaala sarpa dosha for rahu etc..mars occupying 2,4,7,8,12 houses from ascendant called mars dosha mainly affects matrimonial life.similarly saturn occupying the same from moon spoils ones carrier and if all the planets are in between raahu-ketu it is kaala sarpa dosha which makes one not get propr oppertunities at bproper times etc..there are many doshas.21 main doshas are there..go to text book.

Dosha in indianastrology is some thing not favourable. Lacking something. Not every thing is fine.

Manglik dosha- When Mars is placed in 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12 house, then it is said that there is Mangal Dosha in the janm kundli

and same is with saturn- when saturn is placed 12th and 2nd from the natal moon, it is said that there is 7 1/2 going on. Like wise there is

2 1/2 years of the saturn, which is called Dhaiya in astrolgoy.

Not dosha but dasa it is calculation of your time and planet as you are under impression of the planet
