Question:

What is the meaning of a bridge in a dream?

My dream was a cartoon I think, because the bridge was created before my eyes (in the dream) with great speed, and had a talking bear riding on it, like a roller coaster.

I went to inspect the end of the bridge, and found that the screws were too tight and were cracking the wood. It was hard to accept that after the whole thing was complete, that a small crack could render the whole bridge unusable.

help, please?

  1. It is funny how you do the inspection of the bridge. Are you going to become an engineer! If so, let us know because we want someone to hold responsible for the crumbling bridges in the country. By the way, you're a good inspector.

The dream signifies a lot of things like something to help you scape the exhaustion of life, it shows wife, a baby, a mother and things that will be taken care of because of you. The BEAR! I don't know why it is there because that shows a thief, a lying, and someone spying on information. Very odd!

  2. To see a bridge collapse in your dream, denotes that you have let a great opportunity pass you by.

To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.

  3. Whenever there are bridges in your dream it means the same as a bridge in real life - you need to cross it to get to the other side of your problems, or it is serving as a kind of 'connection' symbol - what was on the otherside of the bridge? Whatever was on the side is probably what you need most.

In this case, the end of the bridge had screws too tight that were making the entire bridge unusuable. Are you 'burning bridges' lately w/ any relationships? That is what this dream could be trying to tell you - don't let small things get in the way (dont let something small ruin everything for you).

It may say to you that other people are burning bridges w/ you too. Maybe you are having trouble w/ friends or family, and they are trying to push you away...that's why you couldn't accept that the bridge was unusable b/c of something so silly.

  4. Bridge

To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage.

To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.

To see a bridge collapse in your dream, denotes that you have let a great opportunity pass you by.

    Hope this helps

  5. The simplicity of a bridge in dreaming gets overshadowed a bit in this dream by all the details you describe.

Bridges before us in dreams tend to convey notions of overcoming something, moving ahead over obstacles, etc.  In your case the theme is more complex.

The bridge is created before your eyes, as if a cartoon rendering - that's fascinating.  It is as if the hand of someone near you reaches out to point the way, or draw a diagram of the successful path in some manner.  Consider that - is someone trying to help you find a path forward in some part of your life?

A talking bear riding on the bridge - as if on a roller coaster - interesting indeed.  Did the bear say anything in particular?  Perhaps not or you might have mentioned that, so it's more likely that the bear's character bears on this more than what might have been said.  A talking bear is of course rather surreal - and adds a bit to the illustrative nature of the dream, the 'cartoon' if you will.  The bear resembles an analogy - an example - 'if he can do it you certainly can'.  In this way the bear may be emphasizing what someone may be trying to say to you in attempting to lead you through something in life.  Consider whether the bear then may be an example of success that you can certainly outperform.  The 'roller coaster' effect may lend itself to an intimidating view of the bridge - but again, if the bear can do it, so can you.

That you inspected the bridge indicates questions.  Yes, you see the bear - and you see the way expressed by another as to the path you should consider.  But you still see flaws in it and still have doubts.  You find these cracks in the vital wood and wonder about the bridge's own integrity.

You express too a reluctance to accept that the bridge could be so easliy endangered after 'the whole thing was complete'.  A minor flaw that could unravel so much laid down for success is on your mind.  That suggests that you truly have doubts and are perhaps focused on minute details as failure points.

In short, you may see the bridge as a viable idea, but you still see obstacles and need more persuasive arguments for what others would have you do, or for the path they'd have you take.  Despite the good idea - which you'd like to believe - you perceive a hard to accept possibility of failure, but do see it none-the-less.

Consider these points to see how they may fit the context of your life at this time.  The challenge could relate to education, career, finance, relationships - anything of the sort.  Perhaps this will help your understanding.

    All the best to you.

  6. BRIDGE: These structures are symbols of the power of human ingenuity to overcome obstacles and forge connections. Crossing a bridge suggests progress from one state to another. This  progress has the potential to be both dangerous and exhilarating. For example, if you fear losing your balance and fall off the bridge, it is a sign that you doubt the power of your own abilities to carry you successfully through a project or undertaking. If you are exhilarated in your dream, it suggests that you are anticipating a new challenge and are prepared for risk and adventure.

  7. This is very obviously a sexual dream.

You want to create a solid relationship with some significant person in your life, but are plagued with obstacles.  The bridge is your love-life with that special guy.  The talking-bear is the clowning-around that he (or you) occasionally does.

"The screws were too tight"!.  Geeze, do I have to draw a picture?

  8. going over the bridge means overcoming obstacles ahead.
