What is the meaning of a yellow carnation?

Keep in mind, if you don't know what it means, chances are nobody else will either.....including the receiver.  It is what it means to you that matters and you can convey that message in a card with the flower.

i think you're thinking of a yellow rose. yellow carnations mean rejection and yellow roses mean friendship.

typically it is the yellow ROSE that is for friendship...the yellow CARNATION is for rejection/disappointment
