  1. Du jour is a French term means  of the day or today.like cart du jour means menu of the day or potage du jour means soup of the day.limited menu is like a set menu.in French they called it table du hote or set menu.this limited menu is a set menu organized by the host to their  guest.

  2. Du Jour is French and means "Of the Day". It's a special for the day, so when you hear Soup Du Jour, it means the soup of the day. A limited menu is a menu that the restaurant is only using for a short period of time. It could be for just one day, or maybe a couple of days.

  3. of the day....as in soup du jour and a limited menu would be a scaled back menu...as in limited to only appetizers or grill items
