  1. Massie, seems to me we have been chiding you on your spelling and sentence structure for about a week now.  Think you'll take the hint?

  2. haha...youll get either scientific answers or religious answers....gewd lux my friend...(earth is a type of worm if that helps)

  3. Are you asking the meaning of the word "Earth", or are you asking about our planet itself - what it means, where it came from.

Not sure how "dose" relates to the planet, a "dose" is a measured amount of a medication.

And I don't know about you, but I reside on a planet, not a "palnet" - that sounds like a website for lonely people.

The word Earth originally comes from the Anglo-Saxon word "erda" from around the 8th century (meaning ground or soil).  Over time it changed to eorthe and then erthe.  The word Earth was first used as the name for our planet around 1400 AD.

The planet Earth formed around 4.5 billion years ago from small objects (called planetesimals), dust and gas in a rotating cloud in space.  There is a lot more to it, but I don't think I can explain in simple enough terms for you (your English is not that good).  The planet doesn't mean anything, it just exists like all the planets and stars in the universe.

  4. I was surprised to find the wiki actually had the history of the word under the "earth" section. Here's a copy and paste:

    Etymology

The name Earth originates from the 8th century Anglo-Saxon word erda, which means ground or soil. In Old English the word became eorthe, then erthe in Middle English.[110] Earth was first used as the name of the sphere of the Earth around 1400.[111] It is the only planet whose name in English is not derived from Greco-Roman mythology.

  5. Do some research.

    Start with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth

  6. It means the land or soil.

  7. earth could mean the name of the planet or the ground/dirt.

  8. Matter....atoms....
