  1. An ethnic group or ethnicity is a population of human beings whose members identify with each other, either on the basis of a presumed common genealogy or ancestry[1], or recognition by others as a distinct group[2], or by common cultural, linguistic, religious, or territorial traits.[1] Processes that result in the emergence of such identification are summarized as ethnogenesis. Members of an ethnic group, on the whole, claim cultural continuities over time, although historians and anthropologists have documented that many of the cultural practices on which various ethnic groups are based are of relatively recent invention. [3]

The term is used in contrast to race, which refers to a classification of physical and genetic traits perceived as common to certain groups.[2]

  2. 1)relating to a group of ppl havng a common national or cultural tradition

    2) denoting origin by birth or descent rather than by persent nationality

    3) characteristic of or beloging ot a non-western cultural tradition

  3. It takes at least two somethings to create a difference. (...) Clearly each alone is - for the mind and perception - a non-entity, a non-being. Not different from being, and not different from non-being. An unknowable, a Ding an sich, a sound from one hand clapping.

    Gregory Bateson (1979: 78)

Words like "ethnic groups", "ethnicity" and "ethnic conflict" have become quite common terms in the English language, and they keep cropping up in the press, in TV news, in political programmes and in casual conversations. The same can be said for "nation" and "nationalism", and many of us have to admit that the meaning of these terms frequently seems ambiguous and vague.

  4. all human {GENOME} or races or tribes and cultural influences rolled up in just a few of us so-called {EGYPTIANS} which is not an original name for such a highly developed civilization. The name "is" Greek because thousands of years "after" that heavenly starship suddenly got so drunk that it crashed landed into the great ocean of TIME, the next great Empire {GREECE} was offically made kings.

  5. That is a million dollar question!

Since we are all "God's children" we must start to think in terms of being brothers & sisters  with all of "personkind".

If you believe we are all related through Adam and Eve, we are ALL related.

If you believe the Bible record of the flood, once again, ALL the world descends from ONE family.

Beyond all that, as Shakespeare said, "If you prick me, do I not bleed?" in his play "The Merchant of Venice".
