What is the meaning of fansung? It may come from the Chinese or Japanese language.?

I'm doing some research for a friend of mine and he asked me to find out what the meaning of the word fansung is, and to get him as much information as possible with any possible meanings it can have for other cultures.

  1. After Googling a bit about, I have the impression it just means "sung by fan" : fans singing the soundtrack to their favorite videoclip.

    It's probably a variation of the "fandub" : "a fan-made dub or redub of a production, typically completely altering dialogues, story plots and personalities of protagonists in a funny way (frequently referred to as "fundub"). [...] Fans use copyrighted material and heavily modify the original content to create a new version of material. Fandubbing, except redubbing, is most commonly done with Japanese animation."
