  1. usually one that has uncommon items and cost lots of money

  2. Well, in order to literally answer that question, we must break down the two words being used.

First of all the word "Gourmet".  Gourmet is defined by Encarta.Com as relating to high-quality food that is sophisticated, expensive, rare, or meticulously prepared.

It is also used to refer to somebody who enjoys and knows a lot about good food and drink.

    That would not be me.

Now onto the second word, "Meal".  According to the same site, a meal refers to food eaten at one time: a substantial amount of food, often more than one course, that is provided and eaten at one time.

It is also defined as time for eating food: any occasion, e.g. breakfast or lunch, when a substantial amount of food is provided and eaten.

Now when you combine these two separate words together to form a phrase or part of a sentence, they create an entity of their own.  According to our quoted site, a "Gourmet Meal" would be a substantial amount of high-quality food that is sophisticated, expensive, rare, or meticulously prepared, often more than one course, that is provided and eaten at one time.

    Hope this has helped.

  3. Right, Gourmet has got the same root as "gourmand" which in french means greedy but is quite an endearing term and really means greedy but in a nice cheeky way. Therefore as a variation on that word, in french a "gourmet" is someone who appreciates good food, ie has the knowledge and experience to appreciate especially good/special food. Therefore a gourmet meal would be a meal that can be appreciated by very fine palates. That's it

  4. i dont have any idea but....
