haha the last name made me laugh. But it is not unusual for last names like that. It is basically joining two words together

Personally I think it means "big-upper part" but some people may say 'big-superior" etc... I would not want that last name

I checked it and yes Tuba, as the above answerer said, is a tree in heaven according to Kuran. Büyüküstün, in Turkish is the conjunction of two words "büyük -big/grand" and "üstün-superior" so it's something like "Bigsuperior" which, I think, is a great surname =p

Trotskaya gave the best answer. And Buse you probably did not grow up in Turkey or else you wouldnt perceive üstün as upper part. Upper part may be translated as üst but not üstün. Tho if you try to say "your upper part" yeah that may be.
